Toronto Ski + Snowboard Show Invites Everyone to Find Their Way Into Winter
Canada’s biggest snow sports event returns October 23–25 with new gear, ski destinations, athlete stories, family fun and plenty of inspiration for the season ahead
TORONTO, Oct. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The first snowfall may still be weeks away, but winter is already taking shape at the Toronto Ski + Snowboard Show. Produced by the Canadian Ski Council and returning October 23–25 to the Better Living Centre at Exhibition Place, the Show brings together the latest in ski and snowboard gear, winter travel, technology, apparel, family activities and expert advice. There is plenty to discover whether visitors already have a favourite run or have never set foot on a slope.
From new gear and clothing to exclusive reveals saved just for the Show, visitors can explore what’s new for the coming season, find Show specials and get inspired for winter. There will be something for every kind of winter enthusiast, including those curious about how easy it can be to get started.
“The Toronto Ski + Snowboard Show is about much more than buying equipment,” says Paul Pinchbeck, President and CEO of the Canadian Ski Council. “It’s a place to get excited about winter, ask questions, discover new possibilities, and find your own way to enjoy the season. Whether you’re a lifelong skier, a snowboarder, a family looking for something new to do together, or someone who’s simply curious, we want you to feel welcome.”
Get Geared Up and Get Inspired
Visitors can see what’s new in ski and snowboard technology, shop gear and apparel, connect with resorts and destinations, and take advantage of Show specials. Retailers will showcase everything from the latest performance equipment to winter fashion, including a retro-styled, sustainably made UK brand making waves across Canada.
For anyone planning a winter escape, the Show is also a chance to dream a little bigger. A strong Canadian lineup will showcase the incredible skiing and snowboarding available closer to home, while destinations from Japan and Spain will inspire those planning a trip farther afield.
To help visitors ensure their equipment is ready for the season, Peter Hibbard, known as “Coach Turbo,” will share practical waxing and tuning tips to help visitors get their gear slope-ready.
Find Your Winter People
The Canadian Ski Patrol Ski Swap returns, offering an opportunity to find equipment for the season while supporting an important cause. Hosted by the Canadian Ski Patrol Association, proceeds from the Swap support the organization’s work to keep skiers and snowboarders safe on the slopes.
Families will have plenty to see and do, too, with a 45-foot putting activity, inflatables, and movies providing fun away from the show floor. DJ KAOS will keep the atmosphere lively throughout the weekend, with food trucks on-site and Left Field Brewery offering beer samples, including a non-alcoholic option.
The Show will also feature Inspiration Sessions sharing stories and experiences from two Canadian Olympians and a member of the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team.
Through prerecorded interviews, visitors will hear from Toronto-born alpine skier Ali Nullmeyer and B.C. ski cross racer Reece Howden, who both represented Canada at the 2022 Beijing and 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. Howden is a three-time overall World Cup ski cross champion, while Nullmeyer has earned multiple top-10 World Cup finishes and battled back from serious knee injuries.
Canadian National Alpine Ski Team member Kyle Blandford brings a local connection to the lineup. Raised skiing with the Toronto Ski Club, Blandford has represented Canada at the World Junior Championships and earned a Nor-Am podium in super-G.
Canadian skiing legend and Olympic champion Nancy Greene Raine will also make a special appearance at the Show.*
On Friday evening, Alpine Ontario Alpin will bring the excitement of ski racing to the Show with a red-carpet awards ceremony celebrating achievements in Ontario ski racing.
A Place to Start
For some visitors, winter already means skiing and snowboarding. For others, the idea of trying these sports raises a lot of questions: What do I need? Where should I go? How do I learn? Is it really for me?
The Toronto Ski + Snowboard Show is designed to help answer those questions.
With resorts, retailers, industry experts, and experienced skiers and snowboarders all under one roof, the Show offers a chance to explore the many ways to get outside and enjoy winter — whether that means heading to a local hill, planning a family ski day, trying skiing or snowboarding for the first time, or simply finding a new reason to look forward to the colder months.
